「あなたの願い事はなに？」と小さい白いウサギが聞きました。

"What is your wish?" asked the little white rabbit.

「あなたの願い事は本当にそれなの？」と小さい白いウサギが聞きました。

"Do you really wish that?" asked the little white rabbit.

「僕は、僕の願い事について考えていたのだ」小さい黒いウサギがいいました。

"I'm just thinking about my wish," replied the little black rabbit.

「僕の今の願い事は君といつも、いつまでもずっといっしょにいることなのだ」小さい黒いウサギがいいました。

"I just wish that I could be with you forever and always," replied the little black rabbit.

小学校低学年の頃、僕は父に俳句を教えられ、俳人に憧れた。七夕の願い事も「はい人になれますように」と書いた。あれから３０年、願いはかなった。今や僕は紛れもない廃人だ。

When I was in my first years of grade school, my father taught me a haiku and I longed to be a poet. On my Tanabata wish, I also wrote "Please make me a poet". Thirty years have passed and my wish has been granted. I am without doubt an invalid.
